My training and artistic approach.
From a young age, my parents introduced me to charcoal and red chalk drawing, as well as oil painting.
When I was 13, I got my first camera.
During my studies, I worked for firms and industries covering different fields of activity as a draftsman, designer, estimator and project manager. The fields of activity were: design and production of architectural furnitures; store displays; specialization in masonry and cut stone; renovation / restoration of historic buildings; civil engineering and architecture.
Having become a member of the Ordre des architectes du Québec, during the 23 years of operation of my office my projects have been commercial, industrial, municipal and residential.
Moreover, for almost 55 years I have been doing photography and I always have something to discover, to experience new or something to marvel at and share with others.
Ah! Oil painting.
My successive paintings depict moments, sometimes real and often imaginary, are inner journeys that rock the soul. Painting has its own vocabulary where words no longer have force. It is the creative gestures of my hands that compose a poetry thus confusing the reality of nature.
This paste, at the surface of the canvas, is like life which can only be feeling at the surface of the skin.
Because we only exist if there is someone to share it with, in this sense, a painting only exists if there is someone to contemplate it.
